Dhulokona, the brand new Bengali serial of Star Jalsha, has created a buzz among the viewers. The comedy-drama feature popular Bengali actors Manali Dey and Indrasish Roy in the lead role. The show has started on July 19 and replaced another serial Boron to get the prime time slot.
Dhulokona Serial Plot
The story revolves around two slum dwellers Phuljhuri and Lalon. Phuljhuri work as a maid in the Dasgupta family. She is the eldest among the three sisters of the family. The whole responsibility of the family is upon her.
Young Lalon is pursuing his passion for music. His father despises him as he is unemployed. One day he gets a job as a driver in the same Dasgupta family where Phuljhuri works. From there flows a lot of comical and emotional drama in their sweet and sour relationship.
Apart from a beautiful love story, Dhulokona also showcases the conflicts in an ordinary middle-class joint family.

Manali’s role as Phuljhuri is garnering much appreciation from the viewers. With her constant playfulness, she keeps the viewers engaged.
Manali Dey is a popular Bengali serial actress. She made her acting debut in Bengali films as a child actor. She started working on modeling assignments during her school life. She has worked in several Bengali films and television serials. She has worked in the popular Bengali movie Praktan and was in the lead role in the 2019 movie Gotro. She has played the lead role in serials Bhule Jeona Please, Nokshi Kantha, Sokhi, and Bou Katha Kao.

Indrasish is playing the role of Lalon, the rap singer cum driver. He is brilliant in every scene. Indrashish Roy, a popular actor in the industry, has previously worked on several Bengali serials and films.
He started his career as an assistant director and made his acting debut in television with the series Champion in 2009. He came into the limelight with the role of Tintin in the mega Bengali serial Gaaner Opare. After working in few other TV serials, he moved on to films.
