Bangalore Kalibari

This nice Bengali-style small kali temple is the oldest Bengali Kalibari of Bangalore. All Bengali pujas are held here. A Bengali family that resides in the temple premises looks after the temple. One can give Anjali on Kali puja night and have bhog.

The first Kali Puja in Bangalore was held in the current location in 1973. It was started by a group of enthusiastic Bengalees who worked in the Air Force and ITI and lived near the current temple. The temple was constructed in the year 2003.

This beautiful Kalibari is located in a very narrow lane, and approaching roads are not in a good condition. It is difficult to find the temple. Also, no proper parking facilities are available. People park their vehicles in the nearby wide road. Parking of your car may be an issue if the number of persons visiting the temple is high. Do not expect flower or sweet shop around it.

Still, if you want to experience a home-like Kali puja then this place is for you. They provide blog prasad for all.

Electronic City Kalibari

The well-maintained temple is located in very peaceful surroundings. The environment is so soothing that one can connect to one’s spiritual side and get that mental peace and satisfaction. It is worth visiting during Kali Puja. Maa Kali, Lokhnath baba, Ganapati, Lord Shiva, and other deities can be found there. On the occasion of Durga puja and Kali Puja, it gets very crowded. The bhog provided during Kali Puja is blissful.

There are no shops near the temple where one can purchase flowers, sweets, or other offerings. Please make sure that you have purchased all of these items before your arrival. A parking facility is available.

One can easily trace the location by following Google Maps, as it shows the direction perfectly. But keep in mind that the temple is located very far from the city in a remote area. Its drawback is the location, and the commute is a challenge. The last leg of the road is in terrible condition.

It is better to visit the place during the daytime if you are visiting the temple for the first time. Getting to this location via public transportation or cab can be difficult. Better to go there by own vehicle. Because you may find it difficult to book a taxi or auto from there while coming back. Electronic City Kalibari is open from 8 AM to 1 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM ( Normal time).
