Puri sea beach is on the shore of the Bay of Bengal. It is situated in the state of Odisha, India. For people living in the eastern part of the country, it is a major tourist attraction. Bali Harachandi beach near Puri is a vast secluded sea beach where one can have a quiet sunbath. The place is easily accessible from the holy town Puri.

Astaranga means colorful sunset. Astaranga sea beach fulfills your wish to see the beautiful sunset with peace and relaxation. It is just a short distance away from Puri.

Chandrabhaga beach is Asia’s first blue tag certified beach. The tag is given to atmosphere-friendly clean beaches equipped with amenities of international customary tourer spots. .It is situated at a distance of 32km from Puri and 3km from Konark Sun temple

Heritage village Raghurajpur is home to many crafts and known for its master Pattachitra painters. 

Ramachandi temple on the seashore is a splendid scenic picnic resort. Also, follow the route via Konark to puri to feel the exotic marine drive of Odisha.

Shopping in Puri is a great pleasure, and several street shops are lining the beaches of Puri. The most popular items for sale here are items made from the conch. The figurines are popular souvenirs to collect from here. The original Shakha Pola bangles of Puri are famous among ladies. 

In terms of clothing, Puri is famous for selling Kotki garments, a kind of thick and soft cotton cloth. The batik print clothes are very comfortable to wear in the hot and humid climate of eastern India. Men’s kurta and women’s dress materials from kotki material are famous.

Many shops are selling Odisha handloom and textiles dotted along the road next to the beach. Puri is also the place to shop if you are an avid saree lover. The BomkaiSambalpuri, and Ikat sarees are the top picks here. Puri is also a great place to buy things if you love handicrafts, as the patchitra and the coir products here deserve special mention. The prices here are a bit high due to the large volume of tourists so some bargaining may have to be done.

The winters are the best time to visit Puri. Neither hot nor very cold. Sea is also mild, and one can enjoy the sun during the daytime.

Puri is the all-season destination. So, most of the hotels are booked around the year. It is better to book a hotel in advance. With excellent beach-facing hotels and guest houses, the Puri beach is an ideal holiday spot where you can spend quality time with your family.

By Train – The Puri sea beach is only 2 Km from the Puri railway station. Buses, taxis, autos, and rickshaws are available for local transportation.

By Air – The capital city of Orissa, Bhubaneshwar, is the nearest airport. The distance is 60 km from Puri sea beach. Private taxis and buses ply on this route.
