How to perform Satyanarayan Pooja?
The total duration of the Puja – start to finish – will be around 2 to 3 hours. The altar is decorated with Alpona(floral designs, usually using rice flour and other colored powders).

How to prepare Sinni, Satyanarayan Pooja Prasad?
In Bengali households, the main Satyanarayan Pooja Prasad is called Sinni. The priest or ladies in the house will prepare Sinni before the start of Pooja. To prepare Sinni, mix well the below items in a big container – Aata or maida, Sugar, banana, milk, Cashew nuts, Raisins, Cherry, Pomegranate, Coconut, Jaggery, Red Batasha.
This Prasad is offered to Lord Satyanarayan. After the Pooja, Sinni Prasad with fruits is distributed to the family members and friends.
In some households, post-Pooja guests are also served Khichdi and Labra(mixed-veg cooked without onion and garlic).
